Julie Ieron '82

Julie-Allyson Ieron (pronounced: I-RUN) is an author, conference speaker, and communications educator. Having been in magazine and book publishing management for a decade (as managing editor of Moody Press, senior editor of Moody Magazine, and managing editor of The Standard magazine), Julie now manages her own writing and public relations company.

She is author of:

·   Conquering the Time Factor: Twelve Myths that Steal Life’s Precious Moment

·   Praying Like Jesus: Discovering the Pattern of Godly Prayer

Additionally, she has ghostwritten for Broadman & Holman, Moody Publishers, and Crossway helping craft the messages of such well-known authors as Adrian and Joyce Rogers, E.V. Hill, and others.

Julie is a Mentor/Master Craftsman with the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writer’s Guild, a Contributing Writer for Today’s Christian Woman, and a contributor to the books: A Complete Guide to Writing for Publication  and Writers on Writing.

She speaks to writer’s conferences, women’s retreats, single adult groups, and other seminars. She is a frequent guest on radio and TV broadcasts including Moody Broadcasting Network, Christian Television Network, LeSea Broadcasting, PAX TV’s “Among Friends,” and Billy Graham’s “Decision Today” radio broadcast.

Julie’s bylines have appeared in magazines such as Moody, Today’s Christian Woman, The Standard, Clarity, Christian Single, and Home Life. She has taught journalism, English, and communications; been a spokesperson for Com Ed; and worked on a newspaper staff. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Anderson University and a master’s degree in journalism from Ball State University.
