Richard Carlini served the Maine Township Athletic Program as a coach from 1956 to 1976. Throughout his tenure, he was an assistant coach for football and wrestling and was the head wrestling coach for 17 years. Under his leadership, the Warriors posted 143 dual meet victories. They won Conference titles in 1964, 1966, and 1974. They also won IHSA District titles in 1964, 1966, 1975, and 1976. Dick's teams produced 14 State qualifiers and four State place winners. After many years in his coaching role, Dick became Athletic Director until his retirement in 1987. It is an honor to induct Richard Carlini into the Maine West Coaches' Hall of Fame.
