Ron Brown
1968 1986 1991
Joining Maine West in 1968, Ron Brown would become the most successful track and field coach in Warrior history. As an assistant track and field coach, Ron helped coach the Warriors to Conference titles in 1969 and 1971. In 1972, Ron became head coach and led Maine West to four consecutive Conference championships from 1974 to 1977. Ron also coached ten State place winners including a State champion sprinter, Tony Krainik, in 1977. In addition to coaching track and field, Ron helped coach the soccer team from the early 70's to the mid 80's. Ron left coaching and teaching in 1987 to pursue other business interests. Ron returned to Maine West for his final year, 1990-91, before retiring. It is with great pleasere that we induct Ron Brown into the Maine West Coaches' Hall of Fame.
