Maine West Cross Country has been a team that has a long history of success and pride; Andy Trotter continued that tradition. In his 26 years as head coach, he led the running Warriors to 5 conference championships, one regional title and one 8th place in state finish.

Andy Trotter brought back the tradition of success of Warrior Track and Field, winning 4 conference titles, his first came in 1994 ending a fifteen year drought. Andy is tied for first in conference championships for Boys Track and Field with Joseph Jobst and Hall of Famer Ron Brown. Andy coached 4 All State Runners as the Warriors became regular competitors at the state track and field competition.

Longtime assistant to Coach Trotter, Coach Hassman, said "Andy Trotter is the single most influential coaching mentor in my life. It is truly a gift that I got to learn from a Maine West icon."

Andy Trotter is the first coach to qualify as Head Coach of two different sports.

Through a career that spanned three decades, four sports, 65 seasons and nine conference championships, Andrew Trotter is hereby eligible for induction into the Warrior Hall of Fame
